Where do you stand?

Eight questions, three minutes. At the end, for each answer: what falls to you today, and the article of law behind it.

Your answers stay in your browser. This page has no submission form and stores nothing: once loaded, no request goes out while you answer — your browser’s Network tab will show you. Close the tab and it is all gone.
No emailed report. You give away nothing about yourself — no name, no address. To keep the result, print the page.

Eight questions

Which AI tools are used in the practice today? None, or I don’t know what each person uses. A consumer AI tool (ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini…), with no written policy. A tool chosen by the practice, with a written usage policy.

With which documents? Client documents, as they are. Documents anonymised by hand beforehand. No client documents — general questions only.

Where is the content processed? I do not know. Outside Switzerland, or with an operator subject to foreign law. In Switzerland, with a Swiss operator named in a contract.

Who can technically read what you submit? I do not know. The provider, under its contract and the law it is subject to. The sub-processor named in the contract, and no one else — the software publisher does not receive the content.

Is there a list of folders the AI must never see? No. An instruction to the team, verbal or written. A list enforced technically: those folders are unreadable to the tool.

Does the register of processing activities cover the use of AI? There is no register, or I do not know. A register exists; AI is not in it. Every AI processing operation is recorded in it, with the sub-processor and the country.

Can an AI-produced document go into a client file without review? Yes, it is copied as is. It depends on who is doing it. Approval is required before it goes into the file.

If you switched provider tomorrow, how much of your data would they still hold? I do not know. A conversation history, to delete by hand. Nothing: the data is on our own computers, and stays there.
